ESF-CUC PhD Studentship Opportunity Application Scholarships


Thermography is Application Scholarships a new technology for professionals see the thermal performance of buildings. Unfortunately, the thermal image is often misinterpreted. This is especially true in conditions where the mass of hot water and might have an impact on reading, for example in a period of many buildings such as the typical Cornish "stone cottage" or a Victorian terraced house. In such cases the thermal behavior shows the time-lag and damping effects, which are not visible in thermal images at once, or a simple interpretation of a single image. This Application Scholarships project will aim to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between thermographic image single time frame and process heat-flow transient place where indoor and outdoor environmental conditions are in constant flux.


This
Application Scholarships project will apply thermography to the existing residence, either in the rental sector through the Penwith Housing Association, or the private sector through RTP Surveyors. This partner works from the series of drive SMEs to upgrade the necessary construction - contribute to the creation / support work in this area. The Application Scholarships Cornwal Development Company will help with socialization and relationships with micro SMEs in the construction sector.

Funding details:
The Application Scholarships studentship is funded by Europe Social Fund (ESF). The studentship is supported for three years from 1 October 2011 and includes full Home/EU tuition fees and a stipend of £13,590 p.a. (tax free).


Eligibility:
Application Scholarships Applicants should hold a minimum of a UK Honours Degree at 2:1 level or equivalent in a suitable management or built environment field, with ideally a relevant master qualification.
